The Infinite
Wisdom of the Akashic Records, Lisa Barnett, New
Page Books, Pompton Plains, NJ, 2015, 192 pp, $14.99.
We like to think we have control of our lives, but then life
throws a spanner in the works. Or we find ourselves confronting the same
problems and blocks over and over. How do we stop the cycle? Ms. Barnett
advises working in the Akashic Records to get back on track.
What are the Akashic
Records? Ms. Barnett’s description is lovely: “You can imagine the Akashic
Records as a library, with each book representing a lifetime, or as a computer,
with all your information stored on the hard drive.” By accessing our database,
we can find our Masters, Teachers, and Beings of Light who can answer our
questions about our present life (or past lives) and release blocks to move on.
The lesson is learning how to access the Akashic Records, how to formulate
questions, and how to use the information we receive to release negative karma,
identify and release past-life vows, and forgive ourselves.
Ms. Barnett offers
detailed and very clear instructions on how to raise our vibrational rate and
open our hearts to communicate with the “librarians”, who will show how our
life today is affected by past-life incidents, our families, our cultural or
social or religious beliefs. Accessing the Akashic Records can help with all of
life’s problems: financial, health, weight and others. Learning what beliefs
we’ve carried from past and present lifetimes can help us resolve issues and
move on. There are times we are influenced by the energies of other people, and
later chapters teach how to create boundaries and clear others’ energies from
our energy field. We also learn how to clear disembodied souls (ghosts) and
other energy patterns (elementals, extraterrestrials, etc.) from our lives.
Ms. Barnett teaches a
four-course series and The Infinite
Wisdom of the Akashic Records is the introduction, but it is very
concise and easy to understand. Should you wish to further your work, you can
visit Ms. Barnett’s website for additional information.
We must be well grounded before
beginning, and I found the grounding exercise easy to follow. We then move
onward (and upward) to access our Akashic Record. Those instructions are also
detailed and easy to follow. Ms. Barnett uses imagery effectively and
evocatively.
The
Akashic Knowing Wisdom Prayer System helps set our intention, helps formulate
questions relating to our chosen topic, raises our energy, and gives
information to put in our journal and use for self-healing. The prayers offered
to the Beings of Light and Akashic Lords are not associated with any specific
religion, which should ease the minds of some readers.
Journaling is vital, as it allows us to record
the tremendous amount of information received so we can look for recurring
themes. Ms. Barnett notes, “You can discover who you really are by recording
and rereading your experiences. Journaling will help clarify what you believe,
what you want to do with your life, and how to go about creating that life…”
I believe the most
important question to ask prior to reading The
Infinite Wisdom of the Akashic Records is: Do you truly want to make changes and make your life better? If you do, you can
find extremely powerful exercises within the pages. Some of the information you
discover may make you incredibly uncomfortable, but if you are willing to look
at your Akashic Records and work with the information you find, you can improve
your life.
With only 192 pages, this is a short
book, but the amount and depth of the information presented make it seem much
longer. It is written in easy to understand and apply language, and it is clear
that Ms. Barnett knows whereof she speaks. At first reading, you may be
daunted, but read through the entire book first and then begin using the
lessons.
In chapter 2, Ms.
Barnett makes an excellent point: “The process of learning anything is typically quite individual, so you will learn at your
own pace, and in your own special way.” You won’t learn or progress the same as
every other reader of The Infinite
Wisdom of the Akashic Records. As the Psychic-Magic staff would say: “Enjoy the adventure.”
